Kylea shares her week on the campaign trail
Week 32: Support for the arts and an event bonanza
North Sydney is home to many wonderful cultural organisations and artists - including groups like the Lane Cove Theatre Company, Ensemble Theatre, and Willoughby Symphony, who have entertained and inspired us with their performances over the years. Arts and culture is central to our national identity, and greatly improves the quality of our everyday lives. But the sector has suffered greatly from persistent funding cuts and the impact of COVID.
Many in our community believe that Australia's arts sector needs more targeted, generous support - including for the SBS and ABC - and if elected, I will push for that change. Especially after the difficulties of the past two years, we need to rebuild the sector and support and develop local talent, as part of a culturally rich, forward-focused economy that we will all be proud of.
With only three weeks until Election Day, TeamTINK is now racing to reach all voters in our electorate and convince them to "Vote 1 Kylea Tink". This is it, North Sydney. This is our last best chance to turn our seat Independent, so we can move forward on integrity, equality and climate action in the critical years ahead.
You'll be hearing more from our TeamTINK volunteer coordinators in the coming days. I strongly urge you to join at least one of our campaign-critical volunteer activities. With your support, I know we can - and will - change the climate in Canberra.
Left to right: Pulling lucky number 8 at the ballot draw, laying a wreath at the Willoughby Legion Club service on ANZAC day, checking out the facilities at Chatswood oval, speaking at the opening of the Crag Arts pop-up shop.
Left to right: Addressing the residents of Hunters Hill at the All Saints Church candidates forum, discussing Australian EV policy with Zali Steggal, Dr. Sophie Scamps and Behyad Jafari, CEO of the Australian Electric Vehicle Council, and our very first live TV debate of the campaign on SKY News.

This week, I announced my plan to bring to Parliament a Cheaper, Cleaner Transport Bill to reduce pollution from our cars. I've consulted extensively with policy, industry experts and consumer groups to develop this plan, which will align Australia with international standards, and bring us a little closer to meeting our emissions reduction goals.
