Statement on Middle East conflict & Parliamentary Motion
Statement on Middle East conflict & Parliamentary Motion
18 October 2023
This week I voted for the Government’s motion relating to the Hamas attacks on Israel and the ongoing conflict.
Alongside the Government and the Opposition, I supported the motion in full. I unequivocally condemn Hamas.
You can read the full text of the motion here.
During the debate I also supported a proposed amendment which called for an immediate ceasefire from all parties.
I unreservedly apologise for any hurt I have caused. That was not my intention.
