In response to today’s story in the Sydney Morning Herald, Independent Federal Member for North Sydney, Kylea Tink said:
“Newspaper headlines should not be the primary form of communication with the North Sydney community when it comes to considerations around developments with the Western Harbour Tunnel.

Recent media reports saw our Prime Minister confirm that it "made sense" to him to relocate SBS from its home of 30 years in Artarmon, to an unidentified location in Western Sydney. These reports disappointed many of us as, while the Labor Party had announced during the election campaign that they would undertake a feasibility study into this move if elected, the coverage seemed to indicate the relocation was a foregone conclusion.

North Sydney independent MP Kylea Tink has hit out against Anthony Albanese after he pledged his support to relocate the nation’s multicultural broadcaster from the north shore to Sydney’s western suburbs. Ms Tink said the closure of the Artarmon studios would cost the region 900 jobs and have a major impact for local businesses it supports.
