Kylea says more needs to be done to tackle perpetrators of domestic violence. "If our focus is constantly on getting women and children out of these situations, we are going to continue to fail because we do not have the money or the resources to remove every woman and child from their home."

Albanese’s $925m escape money pledge just ‘one piece of the puzzle’

Kylea has expressed her disappointment with the Albanese Government's response to the domestic violence crisis, which fails to focus on the perpetrators of violence. “As a society, we need stronger perpetrator accountability for domestic and gender violence," she says. "In cases of violence, the burden must be on the perpetrator to leave home, not the victim."

Tink pushes right of appeal on federal environmental decisions
