Refugee Action Campaign's Palm Sunday Rally
The North Sydney community has long advocated for better, fairer treatment of refugees.
Many in our community firmly believe that Australia has a responsibility to protect the human rights of all seeking asylum on our shores, including by setting firm limits on immigration detention times and significantly improving our visa processing turnarounds to meet the standards of our international peers.
"Our visa processing system is outright broken, and leaves Australia as an outlier when it comes to other ‘human rights abiding’ countries," says Kylea Tink MP, Independent Federal Member for North Sydney.
