April 1 2022: Sustainable Living in North Sydney
Join Kylea Tink and expert guests for a community forum on Sustainable Living in North Sydney. This Forum will bring together Sustainability, Bushcare, Garden and Repurposing groups from across the electorate to discuss Kylea's vision for a better climate in Canberra, and our opportunity to turn North Sydney into one of the first Net Zero Urban Zones in Australia. Our expert panellists include:
- Dusan Nikolic, who specialises in microgrids and currently works on decarbonising supply chains for clients in mining, industrial and commercial sectors as Vice President Engineering at Enernet Global.
- Caroline Pidcock has been shaped by the Country of the Gumbaynggirr and Eora nations. She is passionate about the importance of architecture, biophilia and regenerative design, and how they can contribute to a “culturally rich, socially just and ecologically restorative” future.
- John Moratelli, who has lived in Castlecrag for over 25 years and serves as President of the Willoughby Environmental Protection Association, and an active committee member of the Castlecrag Progress Association.
- Jeff Angel is the Executive Director of Total Environment Centre. He has been advocating for and advising on sustainable city policies for several decades, including protection of green spaces; expansion of public transport; the Sydney 2000 green Olympics; BASIX; and most recently defending net-zero development rules for the built environment.
