17 MAR: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY BREAKFAST
From Greta Thunberg's climate leadership to Grace Tame's courageous advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, women have been behind some of the biggest societal movements of today. Why are so many major societal movements driven by women, and how can we keep pushing towards a safer and more equitable world for all?
We invite you to join Kylea Tink MP, Independent Federal Member for North Sydney, for breakfast to discuss women's activism and advocacy with:
- Kishaya Delaney - Lawyer, proud Wiradjuri woman and member of the Uluru Statement Youth Dialogue.
- Julianne Schultz AM - Acclaimed author of 'The Idea of Australia', founding editor of Griffith Review and professor at Griffith University's Centre for Social and Cultural Research.
- Mariam Veiszadeh - Lawyer, human rights champion, Welcome to Australia ambassador, CEO of Media Diversity Australia and founder of Islamophobia Register Australia.
- Catherine Fox AM - Walkley Award-winning journalist, author and presenter, and a leading commentator on women in the workforce. Catherine will be moderating the discussion.
Tickets are $70 per person, with reduced rates available for tables of 8 and 10. All proceeds will cover event costs.
