North Sydney teal independent Kylea Tink has called for an end to the “corruption, dishonesty and discrimination” that has eroded trust in the Australian parliament, arguing that parliamentarians should be held to the highest possible standard.
In her maiden parliamentary speech, Ms Tink also said Australia needed to move away from a “dig and ship” mentality towards regional diplomacy, and that the government must focus on fostering “constructive dialogue” in a period of immense geopolitical turbulence.
